Relax and catch your breath after rewarding Yoga sessions, either in the morning or wind down with the evening sunset. You will discover the traditional Sri Lanka through daily excursions ranging from swimming in the crystal ocean waters under its tropical sun, trips to a Buddhist temple and monastery, visiting local Villages, making contact with its exotic nature and fauna, havinga taste of its gastronomy and exploring the history and rich cultural heritage behind this fabulous country.
Every day there will be offered a 1:15 minute Yoga class and another short session of 30-45 minutes of meditation or breath work (Pranayama). One in the morning and one in the evening, they will be adapted to the schedule and daily plan as it suits. Within the Hatha and Anusara Yoga system ® the weekly Yoga program will include all the groups of positions(Asanas), alignment and technique, energizing Yoga, restorative Yoga and Flytt-power Yoga. We have chosen two very distinctive locations. The first one is in the heart of the Cultural Triangle in a place called Sigiriya. Surrounded by archeological sites ranging from temples to stupas and Buddhist monasteries Sigiriya is also one of the oldest kingdoms of the nation. The town is located in the North Central Province of Sri Lanka. It is a popular stop for tourists interested in its archeological ruins. Its main attraction, an ancient rock fortress, includesvarious gardens and Palaces built in the 5th century AD by King Kasyapa.
On the route to Sigiriya you will visit the Millennium Elephant foundation where you will have the chance to walk with the Elephants and take part in activities surrounding its livelihood.
The next stop will be Avani Bentota resort. Bentota is famed as the prime beach resort of the south-western and southern coastal belts of Sri Lanka. South of the city of Colombo, the coast towards the further South is replete with lovely tropical beaches, making it ideal for a long beach holiday with sun and sand.
Bentota Bay Beach, being encompassed within the Bentota National Holiday Resort Complex features a fully-fledged support and serve infrastructure and is the most popular beach resort of Sri Lanka.
Furthermore, for the lovers of water sports and exiting excursions, in addition to its pristine palm fringed beaches, Bentota provides calm seas and safe swimming conditions during the season from November to April that makes this beach an ideal one for snorkeling, diving, sailing, wind surfing, water-skiing and deep-sea fishing on a traditional outrigger canoe.
